Everyday stretches

Ultrasound can be a physically demanding career and many of us scan in pain or go home sore at the end of a long day. 

Fortunately many things can help to reduce pain and prevent injury if you are proactive and take care of your body, and one of the best is stretching! 

It's so simple, can be done almost anywhere and has endless benefits!

Often through my daily act of stretching I am able to motivate others around me to give stretching a try and it is very satisfying to know that I helped influence someone to try something new that might help them out. 

I usually stretch the most at work. In between cases, while waiting for a patient to run to the bathroom to empty their bladder, while showing a case to the rad, at lunch, at coffee break or while chatting with my coworkers. There are so many opportunities to get a stretch in and I love finding them all. 

So here is my attempt to motivate you to try something new. If you don't already stretch, now is the perfect time to start. And if you already do stretch, that's awesome, I hope that I can show you a new move that you've never tried before.
